Chef Shuffles: Michael Sullivan Leaves Anella

Greenpoint: A quick chef shuffling note this morning: Michael Sullivan, the Chanterelle and Le Zinc alum and the opening chef at Anella, has left the five month-old restaurant to pursue other projects. Why his name may sound familiar? Sullivan won the Eater reader competitor spot at the upcoming Meatball Madness during the New York Wine and Food Festival. But have no fear. Sullivan won based on the merits of his story—his Irish meatball recipe comes from his grandmother Dolly—not his status at a restaurant. There's been no word yet from Anella on who will replace him as chef.
