1) East Village: The Feed brings word that Robataya NY, the new restaurant from the folks behind Sakagura and Curry-Ya, will be joining the row of Japanese spots on 9th between 2nd and 3rd next Monday. The place will be serving up izakaya items in addition to the namesake grilled offerings, and the space is made to look like a traditional Japanese brewery. Be forewarned: no liquor license just yet. Status: Not Open. Opening September 28. 231 E. 9th Street, (212) 979-9674
2) Hell's Kitchen: The Feed also posts the news that Ardesia will be opening on 52nd Street. Helmed by Le Bernardin alum Mandy Oser, this wine bar is inspired "by the combination of old and new architecture in Hell's Kitchen," a theme that runs from the wine list ("established classics and less common selections") to the design ("mixes past and present"). Amorette Casaus of El Quinto Pino will design a small food menu to go along with the booze. Status: Not open. 510 W 52nd Street; (212) 247-9191
3) Bushwick: According to BushwickBK, The Hibachi Tiki Hut on Broadway and Belvedere has opened. Co-owners John Seefeldt and Lorien Flinn hope to fill the barbecue (and quality) void of their Myrtle-Bushwick neighborhood with this spot, which will serve up a modestly priced lineup of burgers, meats, fish items, and steaks selected by David Weber, who once worked as a butcher for Peter Luger. Status: Certified Open; 890 Broadway, 718-443-5027
4) Greenpoint: Roving photographer Will Femia notices, and subsequently snaps a photo of, the quick turnaround that has occurred at the former Baron's location on Nassau Ave (above). It is now The Keg And Lantern, a bar and grill serving classic pub fare. Status: Certified Open. 98 Nassau Ave, (718) 389-5050.
