1) Chelsea: Roving photog Will Femia spots a new Lucky Burger moving into a space on 23rd and 8th, right next to a future Burritoville. [PLYWOOD]

3) East Village: A new Vietnamese spot called Bahn Mi Zon is opening in the old Gomi NYC space on East 6th Street. [PLYWOOD]

4) Prospect Heights: Reps of the new bar The Vanderbilt (owned by Saul's Saul Bolton) send in some new plywood shots of the space, opening in mid-October: It "will be Brooklyn's first bar by a Michelin-starred chef and will concentrate on innovative, new-American small plates as well as classic cocktails and artisanal beers. The decor is largely historically inspired: plush banquettes, Carrera marble bar and reclaimed barn wood walls pay homage to the neighborhood’s history, which originated during the rise of industrialists in the Gilded Age." 5) Flatiron: Mad Park News brings word that Birch Coffee, a new cafe with a green philosophy is under construction in the Gershwin Hotel at 7 East 27th St. and will open sometime this fall. [PLYWOOD]

6) East Village: EV Grieve learns that St. Mark's Burger should be opening up soon on 33 St. Mark's Place. [PLYWOOD]

7) Park Slope: Brownstoner reports that both a Mexican restaurant and a cafe are opening soon on President St. off 5th Ave.: "The Mexican restaurant, El Jalapeno, will open in the space formerly occupied by Delicious on the Slope, on the west side of the avenue. El Jalapeno's menu will have items like burritos ($9.95-$12.95), enchiladas ($7.95-$10.95) and other standard Mexican fare...On the east side of 5th avenue, meanwhile, signage has gone up announcing that a place called Cafe DuCharme will open soon."
