In an article for this weekend's Times Magazine, one (stoned?) Sam Sifton ponders the nature of standby dishes. He remarks of a favorite pork chop recipe, "The dish is starter sophistication, Beck’s “Odelay” on a stereo held up by plastic milk crates, adulthood on china or a reminder of same." [NYT]
