Cheyenne Diner Finally Heads Off to Final Resting Place

Nine months after the new owners signed the deal and a year and a half after it closed, 70-year-old local landmark, the Cheyenne Diner, left its home on Ninth Avenue last night for the open road. It'll reopen in the heart of Dixie. Curbed roving photographer Will Femia dropped by the corner of 33rd Street and Ninth Avenue this morning, and it turns out the Cheyenne left something behind: a giant gaping hole. Now, it's time for that nine-story apartment building everyone's been waiting for.
