East Village: The day has finally arrived. The beloved old home of delicious and pretentious Una Pizza Napoletana opened half an hour ago as the first Manhattan outpost of Williamsburg pizza favorite Motorino. Though the space is much smaller than chef Mathieu Palombino's one year-old Graham Ave. spot, it looks like they've been able to squeeze at least a few more tables in than its predecessor. Sadly, there is neither lunch service or delivery yet, and a wait is pretty much guaranteed in the first few weeks. But if they can reproduce the quality across the river, it's worth it. And here's a new one: they'll serve pizzas to go either in a box or "libretto style, a Neapolitan way of folding the12-inch pie in paper for easy street eating." Sounds...messy? Update: Please note, the restaurant is still waiting for beer and wine. BYOB is not allowed.
