Plywood Report: Bar Henry, Yerba Buena Perry, Aroma

1) Greenwich Village: Bar Henry, a new "classic American" bistro cheffed by Cosme and Luis Aguilar, will open at 90 West Houston in the old Zinc Bar space this September. The decor is meant to evoke "details of an era gone by" with a copper ceiling and bar top, antique brass lighting, and a a black and white marble floor. [PLYWOOD]

2) Greenwich Village: Above, a tour of the second location of Yerba Buena, the sweet little Latin restaurant on Avenue A. The new location, in the old Matador space on Greenwich Ave. and Perry St., will be similar to the original location but with more seats and outdoor space. [PLYWOOD]

3) East Village: EV Grieve posts the news that Xoom, an outpost of the Tucson, Arizona smoothie mini-chain, will be opening on 7th St. between 1st Ave. and Ave. A. [PLYWOOD]

4) Midtown: A suspiciously excited reader has been sending in notes about the soon to open Aroma Espresso Bar coming to Midtown for the past couple of weeks. (See the photos of the inside above.) The store is set to open on 205 East 42nd Street tomorrow. [PLYWOOD]

5) East Village: EV Grieve also brings word that the Citi-Spaces spot and onetime deli on the northeast 2nd Ave. and 11th St. will open as a restaurant. Update: A Passion for Food reports that Plump Dumpling next door is expanding into the space. [PLYWOOD]
