Welcome to our photo series, where Eater photographer Daniel Krieger visits some of the city's celebrated restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, a two parter at Morimoto.
[Krieger, 8/3/09]Chelsea: Above, take a gander at the daily fish delivery at Morimoto, Stephen Starr and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's three year-old New York high-end fish palace and one of the last big box Japanese restaurants to open in the city. Prior to every lunch service Morimoto—or on most occasions his chef de cuisine and sous chefs—preps live eels, lobsters, octopus, crabs, and a bounty of fish for the day's diners. Stay tuned for a look at those diners in part two, coming early this afternoon.
