Upper West Side: When the Times reported over the weekend that famed Upper West Sider Cafe des Artistes would not reopen after its annual summer break, they mentioned that the union—the reason they may have gone under in the first place—is suing them for unpaid wages. But they're not the only ones trying to squeeze some final warmth out of the corpse. Just this morning, one of the restaurant's purveyors Dairyland filed a lawsuit for $29,000 to cover debts. And one can assume other purveyors will follow suit when they hear word of the shuttering.
