Next month, Midtown East's upscale stalwart Brasserie celebrates its 50th anniversary, and to honor the milestone, they're giving something back to the diners. On September 17th, the restaurant will offer a free three course lunch to those who reserve at 212-751-4840. The first one hundred callers not to get a a resy will instead receive a rain check for a free dinner after 9 p.m. For everyone else, the restaurant will be serving three courses for $19.59 after 9 p.m. from Sept. 17 until the end of the year.
Also part of the celebration: the restaurant is bringing back the Brasserie Burger, hosting a "5 Decades of Brasserie Dinner," and serving one iconic cocktail for each decade they've been around, including a martini (50's), sidecar (60's), kir royale (70's), fuzzy navel (80's!), cosmopolitan (90's), and the drink that of course represents this decade oh so perfectly, a Mango Chili Mojito.
Hey it's no 90 cent steak at Patsy's, but signing up for the free lunch is probably not the wrong move here.
