The Shutter: Vynl Upper East Side Goes Mexican

Upper East Side: The uptown location of Vynl the psychedelic pop music shrine/restaurant, has closed, just months after a major menu overhaul by executive chef and Top Chef alum Dave Martin. A rep at the mini chain's Hell's Kitchen location reports that the restaurant closed on Sunday night and it's going to reopen in a month as a Mexican spot by the same owners. Perhaps Martin will just have to lean to make taquitos and tostadas.
