1) East Village: A walk by dearly departed East Village sports bar/frat factory Bounce Deuce reveals it's going to reopen in October as a bar/pizza shop. No word yet on whether or not they're keeping the flat screen TVs (and yards of beer). More beer and pizza, just what the doctor ordered. [PLYWOOD]
2) Lower East Side: UrbanDaddy reports that Los Feliz (109 Ludlow between Rivington and Delancey) will be heading into soft opening mode Friday. The tri-level tequila and taco den (located in the former Suba space) will be run by the owners of Spitzer's Corner and the Dark Room. The space will serve tacos and ceviche in a hidden private dining area, accessed through a secret door off the front room. Bowery Boogie has photos of the mirrored signage. [PLYWOOD]
3) Lower East Side: A couple of emails in the inbox reveal that Chef Malik Fall and former banker Avi Stieglitz will be opening Blue Elm, a new West African/French/Sushi restaurant at 198 Orchard. Fall, a Senegal native (who worked as an executive chef at Asia de Cuba, China Grill and Boucarou and opened the East Village's Nolia) has created a seafood heavy menu consisting of shareable plates like crispy soft shell crabs and a yucca crusted salmon. Blue Elm is slated to open September 17. [PLYWOOD]
4) Cobble Hill: A tipster sends in the above photo of the plywood at Henry Public, the saloon at 329 Henry Street from the people behind Brooklyn Social. An opening date has yet to be announced, but we're told the spot will serve beer, cocktails, and 100% grass fed burgers. [PLYWOOD]
5) Park Slope: A reader sends the above photo of the restaurant going into 80 6th Avenue (at St Marks); reportedly the spot will serve Cuban food. [PLYWOOD]
6) Brooklyn: A tipster reports that a new restaurant called Bueno is going in on Smith Street. Photo evidence above. [PLYWOOD]
