Evictions: Cru Forgets to Pay the Rent

Greenwich Village: Ever since the talented chef Shea Gallante left Cru back in June, observers have wondered what's going on with the restaurant. Reps still haven't named a new chef and not a peep has left the place since the big chef shuffle. Therefore, it's sad to report that the most recent bit of news is a dicey one: Cru's landlord at 24 5th Avenue is putting the operators of the restaurant through eviction proceedings.

Now this doesn't mean doom for the wine-loving folks at Cru. Non payment could be due to lack of funds yes, or they could be withholding rent due to an tiff with the landlord. Point is, things aren't pretty over there right now. But, if Kurve got through it, Cru can.
