Upper East Side: Less than a week after its West Village sister closed and four months after it filed for bankruptcy, Frederick's Madison has closed. The four year-old Mediterranean spot from Frederick Lesort has been cash strapped for quite some time, so it will most likely come to a surprise to no one. Lesort tried reducing prices by 30% at the otherwise pricey restaurant, but the desperate measure wasn't enough.
