Creepy Mondrian Soho Lobby/Bar Revealed

Soho: Later this year, hip LA boutique hotel The Mondrian is scheduled to open its monster New York flagship right on Crosby between Grand and Howard, complete with a huge restaurant helmed by Top Chef alum and the talk of Montauk, Sam Talbot. That is if they ever get liquor license approval.

Now this is what it looks like in reality. However, the blog Dreamtards runs some renderings on whats it's going to become. And thus, the lobby bar above. With the trees, the creepy lighting, the lit up floor, and bonkers furniture, it gives sister site the Hudson Hotel a run for its money in the eerie department. Oh, and what are those arms to the left?: "The light fixtures on the walls are actually motorized arms that light up and move as somebody walks by them. COME ON!!!" Epic.
