3) Boerum Hill: Brownstoner brings word that Rebecca's Latin Cuisine has opened. A commenter notes it's good, but incredibly spicy. Status: Certified Open. 218 Hoyt St.

5) Midtown: Food in a Nutshell (via ML) shares the news that Golosi has expanded, opening a gelato only shop in Koreatown. The takeaway:"the gelato itself was not the greatest ever. It lacked something, perhaps some creaminess, perhaps tasting a bit too artificial. But Golosi is open until 11 p.m. and, given that I'm not a fan of the frozen yogurt craze, I'm happy to welcome a new convenient gelato shop to the area." Status: Certified Open. 325 5th Avenue.
