EaterWire: Puffy's in Danger, Tanner in at Black Betty Space

TRIBECA— Sad news from Curbed today. The site reports that the building that houses the neighborhood standby Puffy's Tavern is on the market and the bar's lease is now month to month. Meaning, should the new owner not want a bar (and killer sandwich vendor), they could be doneski. [Curbed]

WILLIAMSBURG— Brooklyn Based shares the exciting news that Pies 'n' Thighs alum and Egg chef Stephen Tanner will be the new chef at the restaurant taking over the Black Betty space on Metropolitan. [BB]

CARROLL GARDENS— Carroll Gardens wine bar JakeWalk is launching a larger small plates menu this month, along with a lengthy list of spirits by the glass and over 100 whiskys. They'll soon offer outdoor seating. [EaterWire]
