GREENWICH VILLAGE— Shea Gallante is leaving his post at Cru, just missing a possible Times re-review, reports Frank Bruni: "Not every meal I’ve had there...was beginning-to-end, top-to-bottom, front-to-back outstanding, but not one of them lacked a moment when I nodded, smiled, and thought, 'This guy can cook. PARK SLOPE— Crain's reports that Park Slope's Elemtni has filed for bankruptcy. The two year-old restaurant "owes money to fewer than 49 creditors. Among them are landlord 140 7th Avenue Corp., which is owed more than $63,000 in rent, and the Internal Revenue Service, to which Elementi owes more than $92,000 in payroll taxes." [Crain's]
