First Word: Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Seeking Liquor

Scrolling the community board agendas today, we noticed an item even more curious than the misplaced Momofuku Noodle Bar entry. According to CB1, New York's beacon, The Statue of Liberty, and our historic entry point Ellis Island are seeking liquor licenses just in time for the statue's reopening this July 4. We can only assume they're for the concession areas located on both islands—you gotta start earning the dough when nationwide government cutbacks go into effect—but here's hoping some kind of rotating Alain Ducasse venture is currently being planned for that torch.
