Marketing FAIL: Co-opting the Free Pinkberry Deal

Back on Monday, Pinkberry announced it'd be giving away small portions of new flavors (coconut, passionfruit, and tropical swirl) from 5-9 p.m. today. So, it's a tad perplexing to receive emails today from the likes of Equinox, Steele Luxury Travel, and NYC Daily Deals, pretending they alone are offering the deal to their subscribers/members/readers.

On second thought, maybe they're on to something! Hence: Eater Reader Alert! In quasi-conjunction with Pinkberry, Eater readers can enjoy free samplings of new Pinkberry flavors from 5-9 p.m. today at all participating Pinkberry outlets. Do enjoy.
