1) West Village: A tipster reports and a walk by this afternoon confirms that the Grove Street location of Thai spot Wild Ginger is now shuttered. [ShutterWire]

2) Lower East Side: Grub Street brings word that 87 Lounge, one of the neighborhood's few underpopulated after hours spots, closed last week: "The bar often gave away well liquor for an hour or two just for the hell of it, and if there were enough nice people around, the bartender would close the front gate at 4 a.m., raise the prices $1, and let everyone hang out under the disco ball till daybreak." 3) Prospect Heights: The Feed reports that bar/burlesque house Barette will close this Sunday: "Things seemed copacetic on Saturday night—a pair of boozed-up chicks were making out on the stage...Bid the place goodbye this Sunday when Barrette will be bleeding out the last of their kegs—drafts are $1 to the bitter end." 5) Morningside Heights: Two tipsters have brought word that the uptown location of Japanese grocery JAS Mart (at 2847 Broadway, between 110th and 111th Sts.) closed on Saturday: "Shelves are already bare.
