The Plywood Report: May Chan Ramen, Questan's and More

1) East Village: The plywood has finally been removed from the outside of the new May Chan Ramen joint, opening soon in the old Love Saves the day space, and it looks like their keeping some of the former tenant's facade. [PLYWOOD]

2) West Harlem Eatingintranslation posts a photo on Flickr of Questan's, soon to be a seafood restaurant. Harlemnow reports that the neighborhood looks forward to "getting a taste of the sea" with dishes such as fish and chips and lobster tails cooked by Doris Wade, a Harlem native. [PLYWOOD]

3) Cobble Hill Brunch Anytime anticipates the opening of Nature's Grill, which already has one location in Bay Ridge. According to Two Trees Management Co., Nature's Grill has signed a ten-year lease. The restaurant will compliment a protein-rich menu (typical dish: grilled chicken and vegetable wrap) with ambitious fresh juices and smoothies: "Youth for Life," "You're Soy Strong." [PLYWOOD]

4) Park Slope: A tipster reports that Reis Goldberg, owner of the Park Slope nightlife standby Bar Reis, will open a sandwich shop called Reis 100. The shop will offer 100 varieties of small sandwiches, all priced at either $3.50 or $5.00. Locally sourced ingredients will include custom rolls from Caputo's in Carroll Gardens, kielbasa from Jubilat Provisions and homemade jams and kimchee. The sandwiches will also be served at the bar late into the night. [PLYWOOD]
