Man to Battle Beast in July 3 Bun Eating Contest!

The Brooklyn Paper reports that as a prelude to this year's Nathan's hot dog eating contest on Coney Island, man will battle beast in a Human v. Elephant bun eating contest. How the sides match up:

In the elephant's corner: "...the beasts gorge on 200 pounds of food a day and can devour a loaf of bread, a staple of their diet, in one and a half seconds."

Why the humans have a chance: "The human are hoping that their superior intellect comes into play. For instance they can dunk the rolls in water [to minimize their volume]...Perhaps the elephants won’t understand the word ‘Go.'"
