Red Hook: A quick update to yesterday's opening report item on Fort Defiance, the coffee shop/cocktail bar/restaurant opening soon by Pegu club alum and Brooklyn writer St. John Frizell. According to an email sent out to friends and family, they open this weekend with a menu of sandwiches, salads, pastries from Colson Patisserie, Counter Culture Coffee, and homemade sodas. And get this: the sandwich menu includes Italian tuna, turkey, muffuletta with custom baked bread, and what else, banh mi.
