Three days ago Momofuku Ssam Bar closed down for a day to have all staff tested and vaccinated as a precautionary measure after one employee tested positive for Hepatitis A. Today, an update from the restaurant, noting the Health Dept. has decided no further steps (alerting public, shots, etc.) need to be taken:
Momofuku Ssäm Bar has received final results from the lab and would like to report all tests returned negative for Hepatitis A.Please return to your regularly scheduled pork bun consumption. As a result of these negative tests, and three separate health inspections, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has concluded there is zero evidence of transmission and no need to issue a public notice.
