Opening Tonight: The "Eclectic West Village Boite" Entwine

New, 8 comments

Opening tonight, a West Village newcomer, Entwine. We were thinking of throwing this into our weekly openings roundup, but this press release is too good to pass up:

"No definition is more apt of this soon to open eclectic West Village boite whose raison d’etre is to interweave the many threads that run and weave and coil together in this antique bi-level aged and ageless part tavern, part parlour, part outdoor garden and part tasting room that brings together seemingly unrelated but well fitting and eclectic offering of mezzes, cheeses, cured meats, wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, interiors, atmospheres, art, music and events in one seamless, sensible, warm, unpretentious, inviting and hospitable place that exudes rustic elegance and genteelness of yesterday."

Whew. And that's just the first sentence. We'll spare you the rest, but know that "genteel" "piece of history" and "work of love" make appearances further down. Also on the agenda at Entwine: monthly parties pairing "music and wine, or spirits and design, food and artworks." Fun! It opens to the public at 8 p.m. tonight after a media party.
