Swine Scares: Gyu-Kaku Still Not Serving Pork

Last week's brief pork ban at Japanese BBQ spot Gyu-Kaku wasn't so brief after all. Like the officials slaughtering pigs in Egypt, the countries banning American pork, and the everyday consumers steering clear of pork chops, the HQ at national chain Gyu-Kaku has decided it's not taking any chances with this so called swine flu—even though Health officials continue to confirm that one cannot get the virus from eating pork. It is now banned in all of their restaurants, all the more reason for following this Diner's Journal writer in her "Support Pork Week." Stop the madness, eat the piggies.
