Greenwich Village: Le Souk, the now shuttered Avenue B club and one of the most controversial spaces on Community Board 3's docket, is relocating to 510 LaGuardia at Bleecker. Le Souk's owner Marcus Jacob bought the Horus Lounge, which is still open in the space, and has already begun building out the second floor. When it opens in Mid-June, the new Le Souk will be a three level, 300 capacity lounge/bar/restaurant/event space with the same DJs that used to spin at the Ave B location.
The original club closed after the SLA revoked its liquor license following citations for overcrowding and continual complaints from the community. So to the NIMBYs on Lower Ave. B, congrats. It's now Community Board 2's problem.
