Subject: Getting the Runaround at Minetta

——

So I called Minetta last week on May 21 and tried to make a reservation for Thursday June 18th. I was told that they only take reservations starting exactly 3 weeks out, beginning at 9am. I called this morning at exactly 9am (sounded like the same guy from a week ago, but I can't be sure), and was told that they had only 5-something or 11-something. I commented that it's amazing that every table had been taken at exactly 9am, and was told that they actually take reservations beginning 30 days out. Perplexed, I informed them that I called on 30 days out and was told to call back a week later. His reply, "We changed the policy on May 21st. These are the only tables we have available." I dont know, but I think this is bullshit.
