Just two and a half months after taking over for opening chef Eric Hara at David Burke's newest venture Fishtail, chef John Tesar has left the restaurant. A tipster tells us he was canned by Burke last night (perhaps Frank Bruni's onespot had something to do with it), while reps for the restaurant say he has resigned to "take on new projects in Texas." Riiiight.
Said to be taking over as the third chef at the restaurant this year: Patrick Vaccariello, late of the three year-old Fidi spot Harry's Steak & Cafe. You can see Bruni's thought on this guy here.
