In Your Face, Avenue B: Le Souk Plans to Reopen

New, 2 comments

Le Souk, the longtime bane of Lower Avenue B, closed after the State Liquor Authority revoked its license last year following citations of overcrowding. Though the owners already made plans to open a new location at Bleecker and LaGuardia, they've continued to fight for their original Avenue B location's license in appellate court.

And now, a breakthrough! DBTH reports that the original ruling has been overturned, due to the fact that the citation came from a "guesstimate," not actual evidence. The club is free to request to have its liquor license reinstated by the State Liquor Authority and plans to reopen soon. Alrighty. Let's get loud!
