Degentrification of the Far West Side: Another 'Bucks Down

Far West Side: Just weeks after the epic shutter of the Astor Place East Starbucks, the 'Bucks on 42nd and 11th has fallen on its sword. Once thought of as a plausible up-and coming nabe, this outer circle of Hell's Kitchen has seen the planned 7 line extension nearby recently canceled, and a Crunch gym in the same building as this Starbucks closed last week. As usual, the 'Bucks people put a special personal touch on their shutter signage, thanking the locals for their "loyalty and friendship," and ending with a great closer: "We will Miss You -- Team 7791."
