We have a new, riveting update stemming from our constant surveillance of the emerging restaurant spaces at the new Standard Hotel. The bar in the outdoor courtyard/sausage patio, which was first spied last month, is pretty much complete. All of the construction junk has been moved out of the way, and (brace!) the lights have been installed. Haul in some picnic tables and a grill or two and we can lock that baby in for a Memorial Day cookout!
Or not. Last we heard from the hotel reps, this space won't be ready until August—but we refuse to believe it.
