The Soft Opening Menu at Williamsburg's Rye

New, 6 comments

Williamsburg: Today Grub Street runs a lovely photo tour of the newly opened Williamsburg restaurant Rye on South 1st between Havemeyer and Roebling. It's a beautiful space, with an equally beautiful bar—serving up the expected hand made cocktails from a Hotel Delmano alum. With bare walls, intentionally dirtied up windows, and no sign to speak of, chef/owner Cal Elliott (formerly of Dumont and Dressler) is definitely trying for that speakeasy vibe (or actually a "pre-Prohibition pub" vibe).

Now that we've seen the place, we offer a look at their soft opening menu. Expect a more robust menu with shareable sides and a grilled items section once they're ready for a full on debut.
