The Shutter: Grayz Redo Atria Killed by Economy

Midtown: Atria, the redo of the failed Gray Kunz restaurant Grayz, has closed less than four months after its re-debut. General Manager Adam Landsman sent out an email today alerting all family and friends, and he explains to Eater succinctly, "I'm sorry but the economy just took us out." Renamed, reconceived, and reopened sans chef Gray Kunz, the townhouse restaurant with soaring ceilings littered with Scrollatropes tried its best with deals and specials over the past few weeks but, it seems, never had a chance in these lean times. Advice to the new tenant: you're better off opening a pet shop; a restaurant just won't play.
