2) Williamsburg: A new space is currently being built out on Grand Street between Leonard and Manhattan in Williamsburg. The space has exposed brick walls that look like they'll soon hold artwork, a chandelier, a wall of stones, and some twisted wood in the entrance. [PLYWOOD]
3) Upper West Side: Grub Street shares that Pier i Cafe is reopening May 1 with an expanded menu and a more permanent type structure. [PLYWOOD]
4) Midtown East: Bistro Vendome, which is set to open in August according to the NY Times, will be run by a husband/wife team coming from Jubilee. They're taking over the town house that previously housed March and Nish. [PLYWOOD]
5) Fort Greene: Brownstoner has scouted out a yet-to-open falafel and pizza joint on Myrtle Avenue between Clinton and Vanderbilt. [PLYWOOD]
6) Upper West Side: A tipster reports: "Overpriced eatery Cafe La Fenice on Broadway between 68th/69th next to Nanoosh closed Easter Weekend and is reopening under new ownership as as a lower-priced Italian restaurant named Luce (owners have two upper east side restaurants). [PLYWOOD]
7) Midtown: According to Midtown Lunch, Kyochon location won't be opening until August. A tipster also reports: "walked by the new korean chicken joint on 32 and 5 this morning and got a peak inside. Workers were busy removing what appeared to be a huge pile of ruble from inside so its probably at least a month or so away from opening". [PLYWOOD]
