Brooklyn Newcomer Blames Corrupt SLA for Opening Delay

New, 3 comments

While some restaurants struggle on without liquor licenses, others wait to open until they've finally procured theirs. Such was apparently the case with Calpurnia, a restaurant set to open Thursday at 387 Court Street (the old Hole in the Wall Video space) in Carroll Gardens. Who might they be blaming for the extended opening delay? Why, the corrupt State Liquor Authority, of course! But to make up for it, they're offering a free glass of wine to anyone who stops in opening night. Which, hey, almost makes sense!
