Booze Breakthroughs: Motorino Gets Liquor License

Those crazy kids at Williamsburg's Motorino told Grub Street yesterday that they were hoping to finally get their liquor license—an event almost seven months in the making—today. And just now reps from the restaurant phoned in to tell us that indeed today was the happy day. They now have the license in hand.

Managers just put in an order for wine from distributors and should be boozed up in two days time (apparently you can't just go to the liquor store). This is particularly welcome news given the SLA has cracked down in BBurg recently, forcing Motorino, La Superior, Al Almacen, Caracas, and others to discontinue their BYOB policies while they await official licenses.
