Baoguette Cafe

1) East Village: The bahn mi mania continues. Today Baoguette Cafe a spin off of the ever popular Baoguette by Michael Huynh opened up in the old Bamn! space, a quick turnaround given the failed automat shuttered just last month. A happy tipster writes in: "officially open (though only sandwiches) and officially delicious." When they do start serving the full menu they'll have pho, crispy offal congee, grilled lamb belly, chicken wing on fire, soft serve Vietnamese ice cream, and oh so much more. Status: Certified Open. 37 Saint Marks Pl; phone not in operation yet

2) Battery Park City: The long awaited deli Izzy & Nat's has officially opened in BPC. From the release: "Izzy and Nat’s will serve an appetizing selection of dishes, from breakfast and brunch favorites like pastrami benedict and challah bread French toast, through to late-night snacks...even the bagels will be traditionally hand rolled, boiled and baked on the premises." Status: Certified Open. 311 South End Ave., 212-619-5022.

3) East Village: Spice continues its expansion. Their latest restaurant is located on 10th Street and 4th Ave. and opened to the public last night. Status: Certified Open. 77 East 10th St., 212-388-9006.

4) FiDi: BoozyNYC on newcomer, The Dubliner: "This pub has taken over for the late Brouwers of Stone Street and comes to us from the same owners as Beckett's across the way. Early verdicts on Yelp are not proving too kind so far but it is early folks." Status: Certified Open. 45 Stone St., 212-785-5400.
