Danny Meyer asserts he is not taking over the Rainbow Room, has no interest in the Union Square Park restaurant, and is still on the fence about Tavern on the Green: "We have an idea that I think would be amazing for the city that I could get passionate about. That’s No. 1. But No. 2 is, relative to what it takes to turn it into that idea, and now, with respect to how many years there are on the term of the lease, can you, in fact, make it happen?" [NYO]
