Neighbors Rally the Troops Against Grand Street Hotel

Soho: We figured this one wouldn't go down without a fight. Next Tuesday the Grand Street Hotel, currently being built in the space of the relocated Moondance Diner, will appear before Community Board 2's SLA licensing committee to request a whole slew of licenses for their two level restaurant and bars. By the looks of the above signage, the neighbors are readying for a fight. We should note the hotel's developer and lawyer had a preliminary meeting with the Soho Alliance last fall in order to iron out all differences and listen to the community's demands before this hearing. Perhaps they weren't all placated.
