EaterWire: Pranna gets a co-Chef, Caserta Vecchia on the Market, and More

GRAMERCY— Zagat reports that the four month old mega restaurant Pranna has hired on a new chef to share the gig with original chef Chai Trivedi: "Chef Gavin Portsmouth has recently joined the restaurant as co-chef with Trivedi. The pair previously worked together under Patricia Yeo at Sapa and have already introduced a new 'street bites' menu...at the restaurant's Satay Lounge." [Zagat]

COBBLE HILL— Brownstoner brings the news that Smith Street's Caserta Vecchia is on the market: "The Italian comfort food spot, which opened at 221 Smith Street in 2002, was recently put up for sale. The asking price of $290,000 includes everything—the liquor license, chairs and tables, even the stoves." [Brownstoner]
