WILLIAMSBURG— A little reader rant to end the day. Re: the Bacon Takedown at Radegast yesterday: "....Instead of having those of us who paid to taste line up and go along the table where the participants were serving, a crowd rushed the tables and refused to move. After 40 minutes of not moving more than three feet, many of us gave up in disgust and walked out... without a single bite! Inside, we were told that the event was sold out. When we went outside, people were on line, still waiting to buy tickets." [Complaints Dept.]

TRIBECA— The Feed brings word that starting April 17, Bubby's will serve their brunch menu from midnight to 8 a.m., Tuesday - Sunday. [The Feed]

CARROLL GARDENS— According to a Craigslist ad found by the Cobble Hill Blog, Marco Polo is planning on opening a wine bar right next door to their 25 year-old restaurant. [CHB]

WILLIAMSBURG— The 'Bag reports that Lazy Catfish in Williamsburg has been shuttered by the DOH. [TFB]

PARK SLOPE— And another Brooklyn, pork-based competition. From the inbox: "I'm holding a charity food competition in Brooklyn on May 3 that I thought you may be interested in. It's the Park Slope Pork Off, and all proceeds from the tasting fee will go to survivors of toxic waste in the Philippines. A link to the event is here...I'm looking for competitors and eaters."
