West Village: When the news broke that the owners of Rare Bar & Grill at 228 Bleecker would be opening a new outpost in the soon to open Wyndam Hotel in Chelsea, covering three floors and 7,000 sq ft of space, it wasn't made clear that they would be closing the West Village location. According to a new real estate listing, they are:
"Following their tremendous success at The Shelburne Hotel in Murray Hill, in keeping with the hotel-based business model, RARE will be relocating from their location in the West Village to a larger restaurant in The Chelsea Wyndham Hotel.
Fans of Rare will still be able to get their burgers at the Shelburne, but it's really a different animal. Those interested in the space can find more info here.
