1) Chelsea: Word has come from the Wall Street Journal via Grub Street that Picholine’s Terrance Brennan will open 3 new restaurants this year, including a previously reported one called Artisanal Table in Chelsea. Exact location is undetermined but here’s the real estate breakdown: “?Artisanal Table-- a casual wine bar serving pizza and tapas -- but found rents in Manhattan too expensive. Now, finding restaurant-space rents down in Manhattan by 20% to 30%, Mr. Brennan says he has an accepted offer on a lease in the Chelsea neighborhood; if all goes well, he should open a $1 million unit of Artisanal Table there in June, he says.” [PLYWOOD]

2) Soho: In the same WSJ article we also get an update on Soho West's Harbour, opening this month with Chef/Partner Joe Isidori at the helm: “Richard Schaeffer, former chairman of the New York Mercantile Exchange, which was sold to CME Group in August, is starting a new career as a restaurant owner. His project, Harbour, an upscale seafood restaurant in Manhattan's Soho neighborhood, has cost $3 million and is scheduled to open in early March.” [PLYWOOD]

3) West Village: Update: The Grub Street folks have an update on the “other” 10 Downing, (and plywood vet) Scuderia, a casual eatery from the owners of Da Silvano. It’s now scheduled to open on March 9th: “On March 9, the block will welcome Scuderia, the new trattoria from Silvano Marchetto (of Da Silvano, across the street), his daughter Leyla, his longtime GM Alessandro Bandini (who’ll be GM here, too, as well as a partner), and jazz guitarist turned entrepreneur Fabrizio Sotti.” [PLYWOOD]

4) Brooklyn Heights: Brooklyn Heights Blog has word that mini Brooklyn chainlet Tea Lounge could be coming to their nabe: “Jonathan Spiel, who also owns Tea Lounge cafés in Park Slope and Cobble Hill, has his eye on a 4,000-square-foot hotspot at in the St. George Tower building, and hopes to bring in his concoction of a daytime café-turned-full bar and music venue at night to the neighborhood. The Brooklyn Heights location is at 111 Hicks Street at the corner of Clark Street (in the old Palmira’s spot)” [PLYWOOD]

5) Ft. Greene: And finally, ClintonHillBlog wonders when a plywooded space, advertised as a Nigerian restaurant, will finally open: “Speaking of African cuisine, does anyone have any information about the Nigerian restaurant that was advertised as going into a storefront on Lafayette near either Adelphi or Carlton? It has been under construction for some time. It would be a nice addition to the neighborhood.” [PLYWOOD]
