Eater Springtime Feast Revealed, With Mayo Contest!

New, 4 comments

On those special days in which we invite the great public relations firms of our fair city to delight us with messengered goods—in today's case, those that would help us create a Springtime Feast—we never know what's going to walk through the door. Above, today's haul—minus the Spice Market cookie bag, which we devoured.

Our thanks to all who played today: Snapple All-Natural Lemon Tea; Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup and Dip Mix; Knorr Pasta-Sides Chicken-Flavored Fettuccine and Alfredo Fettuccine; Mott's No-Sugar-Added Healthy Harvest and Mott's 100% Juice From Concentrate Juice Boxes and Granny-Smith-Flavored Applesauce; Ragu Old-World Style Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce; Hellmann's Real and Light Mayonnaise and Hellman's Creamy Dijon Mustard; Russian Standard Vodka with cocktail experience book, Spice Market; and the book Heard It Through The Grapevine by Matt Skinner.

Of all the above, our favorite PR note came from the fine folks repping Hellman's, who really got into the spirit: "Enclosed please find some Hellmann's product to help you build the perfect sandwich plus some great sandwich recipes. Feel free to visit www.BuildThePerfectSandwich.com for more great sandwich recipes, tips, and games. Have a great weekend!"

In honor of that, the reader who emails us the best dining story somehow involving mayonnaise wins the entire lot (minus, again, those cookies, and the vodka, which cursed law prevents us from giving away). Entries to the tipline; winner must be willing—really, really willing—to pick up the goods at our office near Astor Place.
