Dave's Famous by Will Femia

CONEY ISLAND— Grub Street gets word that Ruby's is getting closer to working out a deal on its lease and that "all of the boardwalk businesses, including Cha Cha’s, will be returning (minus Lola Staar — and Beer Island will have a smaller lot)." [GS]

NEW YORK CITY— Like all Whole Foods locations, B.R. Guest restaurants will be participating in Earth Hour this Saturday. From 8:30 - 9:30 p.m. the restaurants will turn off almost all of the lights: "Additional candles will be placed in dining areas, while chefs cook up 'low-carbon footprint' specials for the evening featuring local ingredients and utilizing cooking techniques that use minimal electricity." [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN— And over on 47th Street, Midtown Lunch reports that Famous Dave's BBQ hopes to open up by next week. [ML]
