Yankee Stadium Ups the Ante with Morimoto, Bloomfield

New, 9 comments

We were slightly disappointed yesterday when the Yankees announced the food offerings for their new stadium and the most exciting vendors on the list were Moe's Southwest Grill and a fruit and vegetable stand. Little did we know, they had something else us their sleeves. Flo Fab reports that select fans (the hoi polloi is still stuck with Nathan's Famous) will have access to private restaurants with a rotating roster of top chefs:

"The folks in the 4,000 or so premium seats at the new Yankee Stadium — which will costs as much as $2,500 — will get a bit more than the average fan. They’ll have separate restaurants and dining areas for their exclusive enjoyment and the food will be prepared at open cooking stations run, from time to time, by Masaharu Morimoto, April Bloomfield of the Spotted Pig and chefs from Le Cirque..."
Eat it, Citifield.
