Midtown East: Those of you with enough money to visit tony restaurants such as the Oak Room may be interested to hear that new chef Eric Hara debuted his new menu for the remade Plaza restaurant over the weekend (see below). Unsurprisingly, he sticks to the same lofty price point as his predecessor Joel Antunes, but has the tempting inclusions of bone marrow, veal cheeks, a foie gras torchon, plus the usual mix of whole fish and prime meats. With any luck he'll win higher praise from the critics.
Meanwhile, over in Carroll Gardens, Prime Meats is serving up actual food, as noted earlier in a Phillip Baltz tweet. Metromix takes a look at their German-inspired fare of cabbage salad, spaetzle, goulash, and an array of meats and cheeses.
