Discounting the women's bar point (we know far too many "lady date" spots), we're liking Robert Simonson's takeaways after accepting the task of reviewing twenty odd categorized bars: "One, there are a lot of crappy bars in New York that I never want to see again. Two, Men's Bars tend to be old bars...Women's Bars don't really exist as an important genre, unless you're talking about lesbian bars...the 80s trend is not as healthy as it once was in NYC."
